If you’ve never tried a nam dok mai mango from Thailand now’s the time to put things right. Also known as the ‘golden mango’, this sunshine-coloured beauty has soft, juicy, sweet flesh and is packed with vitamin C. It’s also less fibrous than many other mango varieties and, thanks to its flat stone, is easier to prepare too. For the simplest of meals, try slices in a no-cook, 10-minute curried chicken and mango salad one day this week.
