Hold on to the edge of your seat – these activities are perfect for an adrenaline rush
Those with a taste for extreme sports listen up. Dubai offers plenty of opportunities to get your heart racing – here are our four top picks for you to try:
For the free fallers… skydiving
And you thought it was impossible to fly. Skydive Dubai offers the chance for you to glide through the air (at over 120mph!) over the Palm in a tandem jump with a trained skydiver. But, if the prospect of propelling yourself out of an aeroplane doesn’t appeal to you, then iFly in Mirdif City Centre offers an indoor experience that’s a little less extreme.
For the wet and wild… watersports
Create a splash at Wadi Adventure, Al Ain’s man-made watersports facility (the first one in the Middle East). Take your friends along for a day of white water rafting, surfing, kayaking and more. To cool off in style, find out more at wadiadventure.ae.
For the stunt-fanatics… BMXing
Bikers and stunt riders take note, there’s a BMX park in Zabeel Park where you can bust a few moves. Rent bikes from Wolfi’s bike shop and head down to the fun-filled outdoor area equipped with jogging tracks, barbecue stations, mini golf, a skatepark and much more. Opening hours are 8am-11pm with Thursdays and Fridays extending closing time to 11:30pm.
For the desert darers… dune bashing
Long hours and heavy workloads mean letting off steam is a necessity. For those with the need for speed, storm through the sand dunes on Arabia Horizon’s dune buggies. Find out more at arabiahorizons.com.
If you’re out and about, you’ll need a nutritious meal that doesn't equal hours spent in the kitchen. Our ready-prepared veg packs (which include spiralised vegetable mix, oriental aubergine stir-fry mix, diced butternut squash and more) are all great for meals in a hurry.
