Place a T-bone steak in an oven dish and marinade with the oil, soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, garlic, onion, BBQ seasoning and thyme.
Refrigerate the meat for at least 3-4 hours or overnight if possible.
Remove the T-bone from the marinade, heat a griddle pan until sizzling hot and place the steak in the pan.
Cook to your liking – for medium rare fry the steak for 8 minutes, flip it over and fry for another 4 minutes.
Serve with a simple salad.
