Preheat the oven to 180°C, gas mark 4.
Grease and line a 30 x 20cm rectangular cake tin.
In a large mixing bowl combine all the ingredients together, except the strawberries and mix well.
Arrange the sliced strawberries on top of the cake.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean and the cake is golden.
Brush the top with the strawberry jam while still hot.
