Put the coconut water, maple syrup and turmeric in a blender and blitz until smooth.
Strain into a sealable bag and freeze until solid.
Break the ice up in the bag, transfer it to the blender again and blitz until slushy.
Serve in frosted glasses.
Treat fresh turmeric in the same way you would fresh ginger: peel it, then slice, mince, or grate it. Just remember it’s less potent than the dried version, so you’ll need to tweak recipes when using the fresh stuff.
