For the frozen juice mixes
Place the sugar, water, lime juice and vanilla in a small pot over medium heat.
Stir until all the sugar has dissolved.
Take off the heat and divide into two separate bowls.
Stir grapefruit juice into one and pomegranate juice into the other.
Pour into two containers and freeze overnight.
Take out the frozen juice mixes and scrape each of them into slushies using a fork.
Fill the glasses with layers of pomegranate ice, grapefruit ice and top with kombucha.
