INGREDIENTS

For the meatballs

½ cup quinoa, cooked
500g turkey (or chicken) mince
1 large egg, whisked
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp spinneysFOOD Fine Paprika
2 tsp spinneysFOOD Fine Cumin
spinneysFOOD Black Pepper, to taste
spinneysFOOD Salt, to taste
75g spinneysFOOD White Sesame Seeds

For the sauce

250ml sour cream
2 tbsp tahini
1 clove garlic, finely grated
spinneysFOOD Black Pepper, to taste
spinneysFOOD Salt, to taste
spinneysFOOD Fresh Basil, to serve

METHOD

    To prepare the meatballs, mix together the quinoa, mince, egg, garlic and all the spices. Season with the salt and pepper. Form into golf-ball-sized meatballs

    Roll the meatballs in the sesame seeds and refrigerate for 20 minutes

    Heat the oil in a fryer to 180°C

    Fry the sesame-coated meatballs until browned and cooked through – about 5-8 minutes

    To make the tahini sauce, combine all the ingredients in a medium-sized bowl and mix until smooth

    Serve the meatballs with the tahini sauce and fresh basil
