Strawberry and almond bircher breakfast smoothies

Serves: 2-4 Prepare & Cook:


  • 60g blanched almonds
  • 60g oats
  • 300-350ml almond milk
  • 1 tbsp spinneysFOOD Honey
  • 250g strawberries, hulled and halved, plus extra to garnish (optional)
  • 1 green apple, unpeeled
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tbsp muesli, to garnish (optional)


  1. In a bowl, stir together the almonds, oats and 200ml almond milk. Transfer to the fridge to soak overnight.
  2. The next morning, put the almond mixture, 100ml almond milk, the honey and strawberries in a blender. Grate the apple and slice the banana. Add to the blender and blitz until smooth, loosening with a little more almond milk if necessary.
  3. To serve, pour the smoothie into two large glasses (or four small ones) and garnish with muesli and extra strawberries, if you like.
