Roasted pattypans with lemon, dill and chilli crumbs

Serves: 4 as a side Prepare & Cook:


  • butter, for greasing
  • 1 potato bread bun
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp chopped dill
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes
  • 400g spinneysFOOD Pattypans, cut in half
  • 3 tbsp olive oil


  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C, gas mark 6 and grease an ovenproof dish.
  2. Blitz the potato bun to crumbs. Tip into a small bowl with the lemon zest, dill and chilli flakes. Set aside.
  3. Transfer the pattypans to the prepared dish and toss with 2 tbsp olive oil. Bake for 25 minutes, then scatter over the crumbs, drizzle with the remaining oil and bake for 10 minutes more until golden.
