Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge
As part of our social responsibility to promote a healthy lifestyle Spinneys have agreed for the third year to be the title sponsor for the upcoming Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge.
Our sponsorship is centred on a main cycle challenge which will take place in Dubai on Friday 14th December – The Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge. We are very aware that not all our customers have the ability today to do such a challenge, so along with the Cycle Challenge team we have organised a number of support events including Spinneys Cycle Safe at the Dubai Autrodome every Wednesday and buildup rides every month from August to December, 2012.
Spinneys Cycle Safe Dubai
In 2010 Spinneys joined the Safe Cycle Dubai initiative, where members of the community could come to the Dubai Autodrome on Wednesday nights to exercise in a safe environment. This initiative created a unique platform for family and friends to cycle, run, walk or rollerblade together in a safe, secure and challenging environment.

Buildup Rides
To ensure the maximum number of cyclists at all levels for Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge, Spinneys instigated a series of buildup rides, where in the months running up to the main event cyclists can test and build on their fitness. Each month the rides get more challenging. Each ride is timed using a professional timing system and participants can track their time hours after the event on line.

Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge
The main event will take place on 14th December, 2012 where all cyclists, from amateurs to professionals, will race over a 92km circuit taking in many of Dubai’s key landmarks.
A fun ride of 10km will also take place for children on the same day. With cycling as a sport growing at an astonishing rate in the UAE, organisers are expecting to double the number of entrants in this year’s race and are looking forward to staging an event of international standards.
